About this ebook

Widowed, a single mom, it’s Christmas…and she's just lost her job. Can it get worse?

Apparently, it can. When Santa asks Jenna Darlington if he can help her she knows it's a cruel joke. Because Santa--Chance McKenna--is a member of the Rock Gods, a group of rock climbers who live off of adrenaline and stupidity. Been there, done that. Buried her husband because of it. She has no respect for a man who doesn't respect life--even if he is offering her a job.

Chance knows exactly how Jenna feels about him and the rest of the Rock Gods. She lost her husband, he lost his best friend. So why does he feel the way he does around her when he knows they're polar opposites?

Like they always say, opposites attract?

Big grown up men and their issues. They look like those fossils frozen in time who never gave themselves the chance to move on and have more value in their selfish miserable lives. Running away like scared cowards playing at life. This book is spent on too many pages hammering on the same dilemma whether to date a man who had the same reckless irresponsible hobbies as her dead husband and ending on a rushed disappointing note like a man could change perspectives that quickly when it has been spending almost the whole book getting back to the same stupid destructive reckless adrenaline rush of climbing mountains like irresponsible immature grownup kids. Like any normal human being, he could have visited/ confronted his father earlier on in his life if it bothered him that much instead of indulging in destructive ways like it was the only thing he could be, just because his dad killed a man. Cowards

I enjoyed the book overall, I just didn't enjoy the ending it felt rushed after all of the build up between the 2 main stars for it to just end was disappointing

Kay Lyons always wanted to be a writer, ever since the age of seven or eight when she copied the pictures out of a Charlie Brown book and rewrote the story because she didn’t like the plot. Through the years her stories have changed but one characteristic stayed true— they were all romances. Each and every one of her manuscripts included a love story.

Published in 2005 with Harlequin Enterprises, Kay’s first release was a national bestseller. Kay has also been a HOLT Medallion, Book Buyers Best and RITA Award nominee. Look for her most recent novels with Kindred Spirits Publishing.
