Rekindled is book 5 in the Brothers of Fire series by Kathryn Shay and a well written addition to this series. 4.5 stars We have followed along with Adam and Beth in prior books, they divorced, share rare sing their two daughters, dating others, but there’s an undercurrent that keeps coming back into play. Will these two figure it out or will it all come crashing down…only time will tell… I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy (ARC) of this book from the author. All thoughts and opinion

I enjoyed this second chance for Beth and Adam. Their connection never diminished through the divorce and dating others. The love for their daughters made that bond stronger. When the reality of their true feelings hit each, I liked the honesty with their respective partners in breaking up their relationships in order to be with each other. I had tears as they searched for, found, and reunited with Janelle after she ran away. I look forward to the next book to continue the route to HEAs.

This was my favorite book of this series. As the book begins Adam and Beth are divorced and dating others. They saw each other often because they shared custody of their 2 daughters and old feelings rekindle. As they start to get closer to a reconciliation reminders of Adam’s childhood resurface causing him to shut down and pull away again. After some soul searching, an intervention from the Brothers of Fire and some professional help, Adam finds his way back towards a happy ending.
