This is Gabriella (Brie) Gentileschi’s story. Brie’s been reluctant to get to know Dante Federico until fate steps in and takes a hand. As they slowly get to know each other, a deeper attraction begins to grow. But there’s something more sinister going on, bringing out Dante’s more forceful protective nature. His reactions cause Brie’s hard-fought-for independence to push back, which may put an end to their relationship before it really has a chance. When clouds of doubt begin to also grow, a real threat emerges which could bring Brie’s safety to an end. This is not just your typical cookie cutter romance. It’s also a story of bullying, stalking, the effects of child predation on the predator’s own children, and methods of dealing with and healing from these issues. All sensitive subjects that are handled in a positive and thought-provoking manner. Come along with Brie and Dante while they deal with life’s bumps and bruises, both physical and emotional. You may find their relationship frustrating at times, but there is also charm and heartwarming affection. Their love story is a roller coaster ride of emotions, drama, a moment of suspense, and some steamy passion. This is an engaging and entertaining read that you may find hard to put down. I recommend this very enjoyable romance!

I’ve been looking forward to this book since we met Dante when Lexy visited Brie’s school, and I wasn’t disappointed. We meet more of the Gentlischis in this book, which is also a pleasure, and, as usual, the sisters support each other – occasionally they get it wrong, which is also heartening 😊. This is Brie’s story, and her determination to be strong wars with Dante’s innate determination to protect – so there are fireworks. There’s also a good twist in the tale that really makes this book, in my opinion. Kathryn Shay’s writing never disappoints, and this is a must-read for fans of the royal sisters. I received an advance copy of this book.

School teachers Brie and Dante, leaving she bumps into his car truck. She has spent sixteen months getting her confidence and self image back. She could do this, saying she would pay for the damages. He only wanted to have coffee for a week in the school. She still insisted to pay for damages. A student with a sensitive nature would be coming, and Brie and Dante would be working with the student. The other teachers were advised to look for any bullying, teasing that might go on. The author handled a sensitive subject very well. Another good story and to this series. Given ARC for my voluntary review and my honest opinion
