TEXAS CHRISTMAS TYCOON by Katherine Garbera. This is a first for me, both by the author, and accordingly, the series. It is books 3 so there is a bit of history that feel I missed out on, although the author did offer some background. I liked Lea - she is sweet and was so wonderful with Lane. I sort of liked Braden - I truly did not get his whole aversion to the holidays. Yes, it was explained, yet, for me, it just didn't jive. The author's writing style was fluid and read easily. Hearing Lane ask Santa for his Christmas wish did bring a tear to my eye. Overall, this is a pleasant read filled with love and family and the wonders of the the holiday season. (received ARC from TULE for honest review)

This is one of those stories that will tug at your heart - often. It’s an emotional journey we take with Braden and Lea. Having had nothing but seeing their parents in bad relationships, they didn’t think they could ever love another because when the only examples you have are fraught with pain, you associate one with the other. There are others in the book who also have had poor experiences but were able to overcome them, who provide some what-ifs and maybes for Braden and Lea. This is a wonderful Christmas story that shows not everyone has a merry holiday. I received an advanced reader copy from the publisher in exchange for my volunteer review.

Texas Christmas Tycoon by Katherine Garbera is book number three in the Dangerous Delaney's series. This is Lea Dunwoody and Braden Delaney's story. Lea and Braden have suffered loses and difficult times in their life. Braden still hasn't recovered from his mother's death or his sister and her husband's death but is trying to move on for his nephew. Lea's parents are divorced and has a strange relationship with her mother. I could understand Braden's difficulty in moving on but at times I wanted to shake Lea and try to get her to see what her mother was doing to her. This is a story that will tug at your heart. I did enjoy Lea and Braden's story. I loved the supporting characters who added so much to the story. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
