After post graduating (geography) from Rajasthan University, Mr. Shyam Sundar Bhatt got a Master of Education degree from Delhi University with the first division. After 11 years of teaching, he went to Fiji Islands where he taught geography in a prestigious school for three years.
After coming back to India, he worked in the capacity of a lecturer, Headmaster and Principal for 12 years with the Govt. Education Department of Rajasthan. For two years he was deputed to Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti of the Government of India, and he opened a Navodaya Vidyalaya in Chittorgarh, Rajasthan. He served as lecturer/reader in Govt. and private B.Ed. colleges in Ajmer and Udaipur. He served as Assistant Director for 7 years in a range office of Education Department (comprising 5 districts).
He was District Adult Education Officer for Udaipur district for two years, where he strengthened the literacy campaign. He actively worked in Shikshakarmi Project, where he was the coordinator for 317 primary schools. He has been Key Recourse Person for various projects run by the State Institute of Education Research and Training. At present, he is the Chairperson of Srusthi Seva Samiti, an N.G.O dedicated to the social, educational and economic concerns of South Rajasthan
