This is a good book that could have been better. I liked the premise and the way it started. Cater seemed very interesting and Gemma had promise. Part of the problem with the book was there wasn’t the character development needed to really connect with them. The epilogue was nice but I would have preferred more of a conclusion of Cater and Gemma’s story and less of a plug for the next book. It left me slightly incomplete. Still, I think the series has promise and will probably read the next book

This is an exciting beginning to a new series. Gemma and Carter's story tugs at your heart and steams up your glasses. The overarching suspense was gripping and left me wanting more. My only caveat is that it felt like the arch for the series wasn't carried through to the end of the book and dropped off closer to the middle. I expected another peek at that part of the story before the end. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Both have past trauma that could hinder stuff outside the bedroom. He offers her a contract, no dates, no relationships, no questions asked. Of course, with chemistry the pair have, the lines start to blur, it makes it harder to keep it in the one place.
