K-9 Shield

This author never pulls any punches that’s for sure. When you hear it’s a story about the cartel you know it’s going to be gritty and long hard road to a conclusion that is explosive and shocking. “Hang on to something, Gotham. I think it’s about to get really bumpy.” His whole K9 trilogy has been an exciting and at times tough adventure. No matter what comes next I’m right there waiting to enjoy every minute.

K-9 Shield is a fantastic romantic suspense by Nichole Severn. Jones and Maggie's story is non-stop action, suspense, heat, humor and a lovable K-9 warrior make this story one you can't put down. I loved this book and look forward to my next book by Nichole Severn. K-9 Shield is book 3 in the New Mexico Guard Dogs Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliffhanger. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book that I received from Bookfunnel.

Jones and Maggie find each other when Maggie's journalistic determination finds her at the mercy of the cartel. They have a rocky path muddling through mutual trust issues as secrets and crazy shockers are revealed during their subsequent investigations, but they eventually find their way to love. Fast-paced and suspenseful, this story keeps you engaged. And Gotham...the doggie star of this book, he was adorable and had me laughing.
