Né en 1981 dans l’État de New York, Justin Torres a publié des textes dans la revue Granta et dans le New Yorker. Il enseigne aujourd’hui la création littéraire dans différentes universités en Amérique. Vie animale, son premier roman, a été traduit dans une vingtaine de langues et adapté au cinéma en 2018.
