Junebug hasn't seen his friend Robert since the family moved from their housing project in May. It's Labor Day weekend, reunion time, and Mama, Tasha, Harriet, and Junebug are off to the beach. Alice Mead is the author of many highly acclaimed novels, including Adem's Cross, an ALA Best Book for Young Adults, and two prior books featuring Junebug, both NCSS-CBC Notable Trade Books in the Field of Social Studies. She lives in Maine.
