Rock bands, women, sex, drugs and alcohol personified the male character's life. Family and personal issues are set aside sacrificed in the altar of success and pride. Regrets when things gets too late to rectify and shallow things are prioritized over what should have mattered most. This story is mostly cliche. Just what one would expect from a supposed to be country superstar, all excesses with no regards to strong moral principles and personal development. It's like they remain juvenile even in their aging, entitled to fame and recognition wherever they go except in their hometown where people know he is no hero. And that homecoming was the beginning of a transformation, the end of his running away from problems and facing it head on, his coming of age redemption.

When Cal's brother is injured, he comes home to help his family. He also comes face to face with the woman whom he hurt when he left town. Millie is not too thrilled at seeing Cal again, but her heart is not on the same page. Sparks are still there between them, but will she let her guard down and allow Cal back into her heart. This story had my emotions all over the place on this one as I cheered this couple on to getting their second chance for happiness. I received a free copy of this book v

First book of the Bridgestones of Montana series starts off with all the feels that makes gives life to a romance story. Small town, family issues and the love he left behind will have you flipping the pages from start to finish. It wasn’t hard to follow the characters up and downs and with their relatable situation you will fall for their characters. I enjoyed the start of this new series and I can’t wait for more!
