I was raised in rural Essex, not far from Chelmsford. Not much happened in the first 18 years of my life. I left Essex and dabbled in astrophysics, geography and finally banking, before returning to my homeland to become a web content specialist in 2009. I still mostly write short feature articles and blog posts.
In 2014, I decided to give creative writing a shot and studied Writing Fiction with FutureLearn (I highly recommend this free course). I was suddenly drawn in to the world of fiction and decided I would write a short story before I die.
Prompted by the launch of Moozvine (and the short story competition), I wrote my first short story, Pond Life, in November 2014. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and have already learnt so much, but know I have much more to learn. I also have much more to give; I am already planning the next book in the Frank Slater series.
