About the author

Big John Wenzel is a successful high-stakes Hold'em player, professional poker dealer, author, and magazine editor based in South Florida. Playing under the pseudonym "Johnny Quads," Wenzel has won tournaments both online and in the "real" world and has shown a poker profit every year for more than a quarter century. After hitchhiking to Las Vegas on his twenty-first birthday, Johnny Quads earned his nickname when he turned over four of a kind on four consecutive Hold'em hands. Wenzel possesses one of the largest private first-edition libraries of gambling-related books anywhere and when not writing or playing serious Hold'em, he is dealing it at the Palm Beach Kennel Club. His 300 page book on poker strategy, The Everything Poker Strategy Book, was published by Adams Media last year.
