Con l'umorismo nero che lo contraddistingue, e la malinconia di chi ha passato una vita con i propri personaggi, in Cronache dal selvaggio West Joe R. Lansdale approfondisce e arricchisce il mito di Hap e Leonard: a volte drammatici, a volte esilaranti, e sempre sopra le righe, in questi racconti estremamente autentici si ha la sensazione di tornare a casa dopo tanto tempo.
