Gabriel Williams
I read through to the end because I had purchased, not entirely for the plot. The book can be entertaining, but I had to skim through several parts, especially those where the author tried to go "deep", the writing just felt childish and simple too often. Same for the plot itself - a neat concept, but far too often deus ex machina-ed and I never felt honestly in touch with any of the characters. An okay book, with a fun concept, in need of better writing and less super-stereoryped characters.

I love this book. I read it on my nexus 7 and my HTC One. But since my nexus died, I tried to read this on my old iPad and got a nasty error that I had somehow downloaded MY COPY of this book 3 times and was now unable to download my property due to the authors DRM policy. So this is it for me regarding this series. The book was great and I heard that the next editions are also incredible, but I don't support DRM books like this so I can only give 2 stars.

It's a shame that the artist felt the need to be so Blasphemous in his writing, I would have given the book five stars it was a great idea intertwining the Arcane and the normal world but to use God's name in vain sentence after sentence as well as chapter after chapter continuously to me is unnecessary and I will not be buying any more of his books.
