About this ebook

In this queer, paranormal YA graphic novel debut from the author of Some Girls Do and the illustrator of Wonder Woman: Warbringer, a young witch races to solve the grisly supernatural murders of her coven members before the killer strikes again.

"[This] gorgeously illustrated tale mashes together murder mystery and witchcraft." —Nerdist

Emsy has always lived in sunny California, and she’d much rather spend her days surfing with her friends or hanging out with her girlfriend than honing her powers as a fire elemental. But when members of her family’s coven back east are murdered under mysterious circumstances that can only be the result of powerful witchcraft, her family must suddenly return to dreary upstate New York. There, Emsy will have to master her neglected craft in order to find the killer . . . before her family becomes their next target.

The perfect fall read.. Three things; Queer love. Our main character being a secure gal. A power that holds great responsibility. What more can I ask for. If you want a good october witchy read, pick up this graphic novel, it'll knock your socks right off. As a fellow artist, I found the color pallet addictive and I loved the detail of the pages in this graphic novel. My fingers became itchy from the excitement of anticipating what the next page would show me and what colors would be presented or if there would be a new color pallet. And found it quite astoundingly addictive with pondering how the next page would makes itself match the story. Safe to say, I wasn't disappointed. And I had no dissatisfaction. I really enjoyed; the story, the pages, how the characters were presented and drawn along and with with story. The cover is totally gorgeous and gave very mysterious vibes. I loved the contrast of the blue and red. It's totally eye catching. I recommend this.
