Pensato originariamente perché a disegnarlo fosse lo stesso sceneggiatore canadese, è stato in seguito affidato per la parte grafica al talentuoso disegnatore croato Tonci Zonjic, che ne ha fatto un piccolo gioiello di china e storytelling estremo. Giocando con i trope del vigilante in stile anni Novanta, Lemire rimescola le carte degli stereotipi approfondendo le motivazioni dei e i legami profondi tra i personaggi principali della storia, costruendo un arco narrativo autoconclusivo affatto scontato, estremamente godibile e dal finale davvero sorprendente. Un meccanismo fumettistico di altissima precisione.
