About this eBook

"Enjoying pain with your pleasure is something you either get, or you don't. If you get it, then you don't really need it explained, because you know how good it feels, and if you don't get it then no amount of talking is going to convince you it makes sense."

But sometimes you have to explain the unexplainable, especially if the love of your life needs to understand, or she'll leave you. Jason Schuyler is one of Anita Blake's best friends and favorite werewolves, with benefits. J.J. is his lady love, an old flame from childhood who dances at one of the top ballet companies in New York. She's accomplished, beautiful, and she's crazy about him, too. Neither of them wants to be monogamous, so what could go wrong?

J.J. is enthusiastically bisexual, with an emphasis on the female side of things. She plans to keep sleeping with women, because Jason can't meet that need, just like she can't meet Jason's need for rough sex and bondage. J.J. doesn't understand why Jason isn’t content to go elsewhere for a need she can’t fulfil, so Jason asks Anita to help him explain.

Anita is having her own relationship growing pains with her only female lover ever, Jade. Jason suggests that J.J. might be able to help Anita with her girl problem, while she helps him with his kinky explanations. With some encouragement from a few other lovers in Anita's life she reluctantly agrees, and J. J. makes plans to fly into town for an experience that none of them will ever forget.

Anita and Jason are both having relationship growing pains and they have concocted a seduction to help explain the unexplainable in this mesmerizing paranormal romance. How do you explain the differences in situations that are unexplainable…you provide a demonstration to show the differences and hopefully not offend, insult or drive the other party/parties away. The story steps away from the violent part of Anita’s life and concentrates on the passionate part and if you read this series you understand that sometimes it is the more adventurous and complex side and this story provides great insight to the f/f part of Anita and J.J’s sex life and the rough sex part of Anita and Jason’s life. The Anita Blake series is one of my favorites because it is so complex, passionate and thrilling that I can’t help but get caught up in the stories and this one is no different. While I enjoy the stories like this one and think they are needed, I really prefer the ones that have a mixture of Anita’s life so I can’t wait to read the next one. “Copyright Night Owl Reviews”© See my full review at: Night Owl Reviews .com

The last book wasn't so bad and it felt like she was getting back into characters and less into long discussions about who wants to have sex with who and why alongside lots of nothing but sex... and then this book went right back into sex. I like sex... I like having sex in my romance novels, but it's got to make the story a richer landscape because of the sex or it's just plain erotica, not a novel or short story...

Reads as an erotic short/tutorial for negotiating sex acts be it between m/f, f/f, or multiple partners of any combination. Felt like we were 'thrown a bone' to tide us over. Would rather wait longer for a great read like Affliction. That said, best part was hints into Envy's and Jade's characters. Looking forward to more plotting!
