About this ebook

Sidelined by an injury US Navy SEAL Mateo “Diego” Rivera feels as if his entire career is hanging in limbo until he can appear before the medical review board and prove he’s healed and is mission ready. But a personal request from his commander could help Diego bring some normalcy back into his life. His task—to guard and protect Campbell Rogers.

After recovering from a gruesome leg injury that all but ruined her dancing career, Campbell Rogers is determined to escape the wraths of the man who has made her life a living hell. With the help of her employer and his friends, Campbell is given the opportunity to flee the small mountain town she’s called home, once and for all. The only catch is that until they can determine that Mitchell Langford, the man hunting her is no longer a threat, she’ll be under the protection of one handsome and at times broody Navy SEAL.

While seeking shelter from danger, can the two healing souls find solace in each other to overcome their fears of inadequacy?

This is book 8 in the Trident Series.

Diego gets sidelined by the stupidity of the person he was partnered with for at an external training program and although his career is dependent on his recovery it is the perfect time to help their boss and friend Derek who's old friend has reached out to help his employee Campbell get away from the monster of a man she is being controlled by. I can't believe everything Campbell has been through not just with the beast but also the loss of her parents and it makes it all so much more gut wrenching that she doesn't know who to trust as well as what it is like to have real friends, thankfully she now has the Alpha team and their family as her new family. There is plenty of high and lows to go through as we see Diego and Campbell get closer to each other as well as learn the extent of what Campbell went through, seeing her break the shell of guilt and fear she was wrapped in along with once again having the Alpha family bring someone new into the fold and show them that once they are family they will so anything to keep them safe and show them the love they deserve no matter the danger. This book was a great addition to the series. Diego has watched his brothers fall for their women so when he's tasked with keeping Campbell safe he knows as soon as he meets her that she's someone special. A big problem is her crazy ex that's not going away. I don't want to say anymore and ruin it for anyone else with spoilers. You definitely need to read this book to see what happens. This is book eight in The Trident Series and it is Diego and Campbell's story and omg it is an emotional and must read. When Campbell's father died things were very difficult for her and that is when Mitchell stepped in to help her but what she didn't know was that he not only drank a lot but was also abusive and evil so when she told him that she was leaving to pursue her dancing career in New York that was the night that he abused, assaulted and took a baseball bat to her leg breaking it and leaving her broken and bruised destroying her dancing career and spending several weeks in hospital so she decides that she would work something out so that she could leave as she was afraid that the next time that he attacked her he would kill her. Fred is a former navy seal and he owns the diner with his wife Stella and that is where Campbell works and she has become like a daughter to them and he decided that he was going to help her escape and that is when he phoned his friend Derek to ask for some help. When Diego and his team rescued Campbell she stayed with him so that she would be safe and get on her feet but the more time that they spend together the stronger there feelings for each other grew but will Diego and his team be able to keep Campbell safe from Mitchell and his evil friend and give them a chance of a future together only time will tell. Omg this book was absolutely amazing and it took you on a roller coaster ride of emotions but I still couldn't put it down as it was so addictive and a real page turner. Jaime Lewis is an amazing author and writer and her stories have so much depth to them and they keep you on the edge of your seat wondering what would happen next and I definitely recommend you read this book and series and you will definitely not be disappointed. I Voluntarily Reviewed an Arc Copy of this Amazing Book.
