Jeju was recognized for its significance and designated as a Biosphere Reserve in 2002, a World Natural Heritage in 2007, and a Global Geopark in 2010. Earning all three UNESCO natural science titles is an unprecedented achievement globally, which shows that Jeju is a treasure with priceless environmental assets that must be protected by all.
