À propos de cet ebook

A tale of ambition and madness in the frozen seas of Antarctica.

In 1922 the polar exploration vessel RAVEN sailed from Hobart in the early hours of the morning, south into the icy embrace of the Antarctic Ocean. Neither she nor the 28 souls aboard her were ever seen again.

In 2005, during a visit to an Australian Antarctic station, a writer discover a long-lost journal - the only surviving artefact and evidence of the fate of the RAVEN expedition. It is a discovery that will consume his life and eat into his soul.

Into White Silence is the story of a collision between the past and the present, the folly of ambition, and the ghosts of the ice.

Quelques mots sur l'auteur

Award -winning Australian writer Anthony Eaton has long been fascinated with both the history and the reality of Antarctica and so when, In 2005, he was offered the chance to spend 6 weeks traveling to and from Casey Antarctic Station, in Wilkes land, Antarctica, he leapt at the opportunity. Into White Silence is the result of that voyage. He is the author of 11 novels for various readerships, has twice won the Western Australian Premier's Award, holds a PhD in creative writing, and teaches at the University of Canberra in the ACT, where he lives with his wife and son.
