Naff, it was quite an anti-climatic ending which followed a lot of build up that felt repetitive and without much purpose. The links to the past myth could have been made more explicit.

About the author

ROBERT SWINDELLS left school at fifteen to work on a local newspaper. At seventeen, he joined the RAF for three years, then trained and worked as a teacher.
