I love Dawn Brower's writing and enjoyed this book too but it was not my favourite of her work. A reverse Cinderella with an assortment of very evil parents and step family. The rest of the supporting characters were well developed and likable. I felt that the plot, though good, was not developed enough. I needed a bit more meat on the bones of the story. This made some parts very much like a fairytale as the pace of the story did not leave room for logic. Particularly the walk in the forest and subsequent meeting of Lady Annalise and Ryan. An entertaining read with a HEA and some spice. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I loved this book and it is my favorite of this series. Annalise and Ryan were perfect for each other. I adored the attraction and chemistry they shared. The emotional story quickly pulled me in and fully engaged my own emotions; as my own heart broke for these two very wounded characters. I was so happy that they found each other. They truly deserved their HEA. An absolutely beautiful romance that touched my heart and had me shedding a tear or two along the way.
