About the author

Ian Brodie MNZM is an award-winning author and photographer.

His love of his native New Zealand, film, travel, photography and vintage combat aircraft have combined to produce some remarkable books and images including the bestselling Lord of the Rings Location Guidebook.

He is the director of Ian Brodie Consulting, which concentrates on film tourism, writing and photography. Ian has just completed The Hobbit Location Guidebook and is currently working on other film and travel books.

Brodie was Media Manager for Hobbiton Movie Set Tours, and was the founding director of the New Zealand Fighter Pilots Museum, in Wanaka. 

Ian travels the world with his passion, taking images on film sets, and of landscapes. This was the first book in his new On Location Guides series.
