The first poem I wrote for this book was Sailing to Another World in May, 2023. When I wrote it, I started to plan and realise my motives for this collection, which was to make readers fall in love with reading again. It was on the same day that I thought of and decided on the title Inked Joys.
The title, in brief, communicates the core of the poems included in it. Reading and Writing: both are ways to escape the humdrum of life for a while, and emerging from the process even more alive. Writers use their pens to pour their hearts and convey suppressed emotions, and readers
live various lives in different worlds; both being the processes that have always brought me immense joy and fulfillment.
The idea of joy derived from the written word struck me, hence I concluded on the title so proudly displayed on the cover of this book.

Quelques mots sur l'auteur
Born on the sixth day of the ninth month of the year 2006, Prabhjot Kaur Saini is a young author hailing from India. Her writing journey began a few days before she turned ten, and is more or less the best Butterfly Effect she has experienced so far. Her first published work Planting a Poetry Plant dives deeper into the first five years of her journey as a young poetess in the 21st Century. She has been experimenting with Horror for large chunk of her life. The first work of the genre she officially published was a short story titled The Presence.
A lover of Sciences and Arts, Prabhjot is a lass of many interests, some of which include Astronomy, Classical Music and Greek Mythology. She had developed a taste for letters ever since she learned how to read, and enjoys a great variety of Literature. She has an equal appreciation for stories of the past, the present and the future, as well as both real and imaginary worlds. With her written works, she hopes to make a place for herself in the vast world of Literature.
