La novela con la que Courtney Milan debuto fue publicada en 2010. Desde entonces, sus libros han recibido muy buenas criticas en publicaciones como Publishers Weekly y Booklist. Tambien ha aparecido en New York Times y en USA Today Bestseller. Courtney fue finalista en RITA(r) y fue nominada en RT Reviewer's Choice a la mejor novela romantica. Su segunda novela fue elegida como mejor libro de 2010 en los premios Publishers Weekly Best Book. Courtney vive en las Montanas Rocosas (Estados Unidos) junto a su marido, a su perro poco domesticado y a su energico gato. Mucho antes que ella empezara a escribir novelas historicas, Courtney se graduo en Quimica y Fisica por la Universidad de Berkeley.
