Military history as a fragment of extensive continuum of historical learning is in simple expressions the study of mankind in war. It denotes a wide range of subjects indistinguishably connected to the military activities of the past which include social, political, human, technological and institutional aspects. It is the history of fighting where weapons and equipment, battle behaviour, military organisation, movement, logistics, mentality, tactical training and strategic planning are involved.
