Irresistible, steamy and sexy novel by Alice Gaines! His For The Week delivers a tale of finding who you truly are deep within and owning up to that persona. I enjoyed this fast paced book that had an exorbitant amount of hot chemistry between Rae and Nate. Rae, also known as Desiree Knight, is a well known sex columnist who strives for bigger and better career goals. However, an opportunity has just arrived to prove herself further in her career and she needs a man to help her. Enter Nate Wilson, or as she knows him “mystery coffee shop hottie”. Even though she feels confident when she is dolled up as Desiree and can be sexual, she is insecure down to the bones when she is herself and Nate sees it. He saw it in the coffee shop when she wasn’t looking and sees it at the resort where he agrees to be her partner for a week. How can he convince her to let down her walls and truly be herself? “You can find romance anywhere if you open your eyes and look.” Nate is a true soul. Good guy through and through, even with a dirty mind. He has been hurt prior and knows what dishonesty can do to a person. He sees the mistrust in Rae and wants to be the support for her, but can he get behind her walls? I fell in love with Nate Wilson. Through Gaines’s writing, you feel his desires, his caring nature. “Without you my life doesn’t sparkle.” I believe a lot of readers will be able to relate to this book with identifying with Rae. She feels like she must be one person when really she doesn’t. She needs to let love in. Gaines brilliantly showcases feelings between both characters and this story was a pleasure to read. 3.5 Empowering Stars
