Texas Ranger Gwen Phillips is one of the most hardworking law enforcement officers in the state of Texas, driven by a childhood event that shaped not only her work ethic but also her dedication to helping find kidnapped children. Since his divorce, he’s learned to balance his work with leisure time. And since Ranger Gwen Phillips’ arrival, he’s realized he wants her to be part of that life outside of work. But she proves a tough nut to crack, deep in that workaholic mode that he knows so well. Someone needs to teach Gwen to have fun, and he figures he’s just the man for the job.

As they work together to find the missing girl, they both come to realize there is more to life than working all the time. Much more.
