About this ebook

Bridget Jones is mad about the boy – the gloriously funny and heartwarming million-copy bestseller, soon to be a major film starring Renée Zellweger.

‘In an emergency, I turn to Bridget Jones’ DOLLY ALDERTON

What do you do when a girlfriend’s 60th birthday party is the same day as your boyfriend’s 30th?

Is it morally wrong to have a blow-dry when one of your children has head lice?

Is sleeping with someone after 2 dates and 6 weeks of texting the same as getting married after 2 meetings and 6 months of letter writing in Jane Austen’s day?

Pondering these, and other dilemmas, BRIDGET JONES stumbles through the challenges of single motherhood, online dating, and achieving ‘acceptance and calm’ in what SOME people rudely call ‘middle age’.

I had high hopes for the third installment in the life of Bridget Jones, having loved the first two books. To say I was disappointed would be an understatement. The writing is fragmented and jumbled. Diary or not, there is no real flow to the story. If I could go back and make the choice again, I most certainly would not waste my money, nor my time.

Glad I read it but still find Bridget incredibly annoying and the unconventional heroine plotline is getting tiring. There are some funny moments and it's typical Bridget so if you enjoyed the first 2 books you'll like this. Maybe I'm getting a bit bored of the whole "ooh look at me, I can act like an irritating self obsessed wino but everything will always work out because I'm Bridget Jones". Also you can see the ending a mile off - hot man acts aloof and rude but secretly in love with Bridget. Familiar?

Heard a lot of negative things about the book but I enjoyed it. Bridget may be older and have children but she's still Bridget at the end of the day. If you haven't read two other two Bridget books you may find it a little irritating. I guess you have to know her to appreciate her and there are some touching moments in there. Not as good as the first book but still an entertaining read.
