Our heroine finally has a chance to turn her life around, but to do so she has to engage in a battle royale. That might not be something she is really prepared for, but she is ready to do whatever it takes to win. Her opponents better beware. This is book one of the series, so a fine place to start. This is an urban fantasy story featuring the fae. The story is well written with a detailed setting that is fun to explore. The characters are quite good, with many of them not being quite what

After graduating, Lana, a witch, returns home to find an Elf who has a message from her father in the form of a riddle. She asks her friend Finn for help, and they end up in the land of Fae. They have to compete in a gladiator-style contest to determine their rank among the King's 13 children. This story has infighting, backstabbing, and lots of violence. Very highly recommended. I received a copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
