This title examines the US Army Special Forces, also known as the Green Berets. Readers will learn that commandos have taken part in every war in American history, from the Revolutionary War to World War II to today. The history section explains how President John F. Kennedy granted them their trademark berets while preparing for a visit to the Special Warfare Center at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, under the command of Brigadier General William P. Yarborough.
