Lois Lowry is the author of more than forty books for children and young adults, including the New York Times bestselling Giver Quartet and the popular Anastasia Krupnik series. She received Newbery Medals for two of her novels, Number the Stars and The Giver.
Middy Thomas is a native Mainer. She loves all forms of art and works in all mediums, from painting to printing to sculpture. Ms. Thomas also teaches two art classes a week in her studio.
