About this eBook

In this third and final book in the New York Times bestselling trilogy, Janie unearths a family secret with deeply troubling implications for her future.

Things should be great for Janie—she has graduated from high school and is spending her summer with Cabel, the guy she’s totally in love with. But deep down she’s panicking about how she’s going to survive her future when getting sucked into other people’s dreams is really starting to take its toll.

Things get even more complicated when she meets her father for the very first time—and he’s in a coma. As Janie uncovers his secret past, she begins to realize that the choice she thought she had has more dire consequences than she ever imagined.

If i could give this book zero stars, I would. I loved Wake and Fade but i felt that McMann gave up on attempting to use English. I felt the language to be utterly offensive to teenagers. That the way Janie communicated with Carrie felt like a conversation between two pre-pubescent 12 year olds. I am Janie's age and utterly appalled my the juvenile communication in this book. I feel that, even to Carrie, Janie would talk as if she were an adult because since she has acted been one for such a long time. With each and every line I felt the need to stab my eyes due to the utter destruction that McMann has done to the English language.

This book is a great book that I shall treasure. I am a big reader myself and seeing that this book is sad yet very good. It being about a fake power but also about what Janie must put herself through is tough. I love this book and I hope you will too. I suggest you read it! -Charity McGrady
