An emotional second chance love story. One night will change the lives of all involved. Zac will do anything for anyone even if it means lying to cover for his brother. Fast forward twelve years and Zak has returned home for his brother's wedding and looking for forgiveness. Kat, has always been in love with Zak, best friends while growing up and then the death of her sister, everything changes. Can they open their hearts to each other once the truth comes out. This is a book that I could not put down. Loved the characters and the dialogue between them. An emotional journey, that I confess that I shed many tears. This book is the first in the series, anxiously awaiting for the next book. This is a knew to me author. This is one of my top reads this year!!

A story unlike I’ve read in my lifetime. A story of forgiveness and redemption. One of sacrifice and love. Life in Kurrajong Crossing is like life in any small town around the world. But this small town is suffering the effects from a tragedy that occurred 12 years ago. And the main person responsible is back. Zac is the center of every citizens vitriol or so he thinks. His return sets off a series of events that erupt in everyone’s life. Each one has to search their conscience and deal with the tragedy and face the consequences. In the midst of this, Zac and Cat have to deal with their 12 years apart and the friendship they use to enjoy. Memories, good and bad, are explored and decisions made that show the true character of this couple and the people around them. I received an advanced reader copy from the publisher and am voluntarily leaving my review.

I always enjoy traveling to faraway places and nothing is as far from Texas as Kurrajong Crossing is. Author Dakota Harrison gives us a wonderful read that has both mystery as well as romance. This is the beginning of a series that I can not wait to see where all it leads too. This is a second chance story about Zac and Catherine. It left me wishing I could still hear (I am late life deaf) and wanting cupcakes.
