The parallel narrative of them ensues which is a fast paced action packed thriller. The whole story has been overshadowed due to the sexually explicit & repulsive showcase of fantasy which is cringe worthy. Many things in the book was stretched and unnecessary or else this could have been a roller coaster read.

Book Review : Faith & Beloved. Author : Kochery C Shibu Pages : 248 Genre : Thriller,Drama. ***No Spoilers*** The book has a good plot that involves many interesting characters. It's filled with twists and turns all around. The story moves on from the point of view of each character. The events that take place unravel as we take a dive into each character's mind. The plot revolves around the whole of India and even some neighbouring states. It gives a brief history of India and its neighbouring countries from the 90's to early 2000's. It includes topics like ISI,Bombay terror attacks, drugs, LTTE, industries and many other things. There's a lot of information, too much at times. It feels the writer has written everything he thought of. There's too much history and background story which grant us an insight into each character's mind. But at times it becomes too tedious and difficult to follow. There's overuse of sex, rape and other similar topics are spoken very leniently. The interest in the whole story is lost due to such overuse and over explanation. The story does touch topics like the caste system, corruption and other social problems which need to be improved upon. There are 6 major characters: Arun - A man from Bihar, thief, petty criminal, etc. Prem - Arun's small brother, genius, vengeful. Tony - A model from Canada (originally from Sri Lanka), in association with many shady terrorist organizations. Naithy Cherozil - from an industrialist family, owner of an advertising agency. Alice - Daughter of Naithy, smart and cunning. Prakash - Indian police agent. The book has many interesting twists and turns but the length and too much description ruins the overall effect. Even though there are many characters in the story you don't get attached to any single one of them. Overall the book has great potential if it's edited a little. The book has drama, emotions, mystery, love, despair and many other emotions clumped into a huge intertwined plot where each character connects with each character. The story has some visual aspects but doesn't seem good for a movie or similar series. The cover of the book is good. The writing is good except at times there is repetition of inefficacious points. The book has great potential, an actual interesting plot and writing, amazing characters but still doesn't reach right to our hearts.

Faith and Beloved is the second book by Kochery C Shibu. I really enjoy the books written by Kochery C Shibu. Like the previous book, this book is also impeccable. This is a thriller book which is fast paced. On one side, the story is about Alice Cherokil who killed her step-father and ran away. On the other side, the story is about Arun and Prem, Arun was killed by police and Prem feels that it was not a police encounter but was a murder. The concept of story is awesome. The author's efforts to pen this mesmirizing book down are quite appreciable. To know more about what happens to life of Alice and Prem, you should definitely go for this book. Overall, it's a wonderful book from all aspects and should be read once. The author has narrated the book in a fantastic manner and I'm quite sure that this book won't let you down till the very last page.
