*Disclaimer: I received an e-copy of this book from Netgalley and St. Martin's Griffin in exchange for an honest review. This does not influence my rating or the content of my review in any way. This book was a nice discovery in the realm of paranormal genre. It had all the ingredients for a good paranormal book, and a good series starter. Gavin is super sexy and super smart. Very stubborn too, which I guess you have to be, if you're going to be a lawyer. I liked how confused by Megan and by the way he felt for her he was, but I also liked that he was really trying to make the entire situation better and to save her. Megan was a mystery. While the book is told both from hers and Gavin's perspective, at times I felt just as confused and in the dark about Megan as he was. It isn't until towards the end that we get to understand exactly the what, why, and how of it all, and let me tell you, I was surprised. I was expecting some kind of twist, but definitely not that. The book is pretty fast paced, and I enjoyed reading it. The werewolf mythology was interesting, especially with how they shift. I'm curious if other shapeshifters are affected the same as wolves. As I said, I had a moment of confusion towards the end, but I certainly liked the book enough to want to read more books from this author. And I'm super ecstatic that there are at least two more books in this series, since we all know how much I enjoy paranormal series. Definitely check this one out if you like paranormal romance.

***Please note this is not a new story, but previously published in the GROWL anthology in January 2016*** I always love a good Eve Langlais story! She always mixes humor into each story as shifter mates try to fight against—or for—the idea that they’ve found their fated mate. Gavin is a successful and rich lawyer/wolf shifter that’s roped into hearing out Megan’s case, and was conveniently dropped off at Gavin’s office by his best friend and feline shifter, Broderick. Sneaky cat! What comes next is a wild roller coaster of a storyline filled with intrigue, subterfuge and an undeniable chemistry that heats up the pages and steams up your Kindle/eReader screen! Not to mention the funny dialog and sassy heroine with a few crazy secrets! Only problem I had with the story is that it’s too short! LEGAL WOLF’S MATE is a fast, fun and quick read that will sate any paranormal romance appetite and have you begging for more! I highly recommend it to all! ***I want to thank the publisher for generously offering me a copy of the book in exchange for an honest review. All conclusions reached are my own***

I am a huge fan of the author. She can take a dark subject and make it seem lighthearted and humorous. And this book is no exception. Legal Wolf's Mate is not a new book and was previously released in the anthology Growl. Gavin is a cocky, arrogant, hot shot attorney who doesn't lose his cases. He was forcibly turned into a wolf by Fabian, a crime boss and has been out to try and bring him down since. When his best friend Broderick comes to him asking him to take a Pro Bono murder case, he isn't interested until he finds out that Fabian is involved and Gavin will do anything to try and bring him down. What the confirmed bachelor doesn't expect is to meet his mate when he meets his Pro Bono client. Megan is a secretary who was framed for murder, she's assigned a public defender who doesn't want to be bothered and tries to get her to plead guilty. Then she literally runs into Broderick and when he asks her if she's ok, she spills her story. When she meets her new attorney, she's not expecting a gorgeous model type, and she definitely wasn't expecting to be attracted to him. But Megan's got secrets that will come out and shock you! Though the themes are murder and corruption, the author injects a lot of levity and the book is very humorous which I love. The characters have good chemistry and the book was hard to put down. It was a very fast easy enjoyable read. Can't wait for her next book!!
