About this ebook

From a New York Times bestselling author: a second chances, enemies-while-lovers reunion romance where nothing is as it first appears, and everyone’s motives are suspect…

Olive Harper's family has been feuding with the Westons for decades. The Westons’ stud farm is the biggest, but the Harpers’ is the most famous... and she's the sole heiress. Or was, until her father brokers a truce by offering the Weston heir the Harper farm. The only way to get it back is to marry the knave who kissed her and humiliated her, twice—or prove to her father that some rifts can never be healed.

Scholar and botanist Elijah Weston is dreadful at feuding. For one, he prefers horticulture to horses. For two, he's been desperately in love with his mortal enemy ever since he kissed her—and, yes, publicly destroyed her—all those years ago. When he's given ten days to win Olive's heart, he arrives with marriage license in hand. But where lies and double-crosses abound, how can lifelong rivals learn to trust their hearts?

The 12 Dukes of Christmas is a series of heartwarming Regency romps nestled in a picturesque snow-covered village. Twelve delightful romances… and plenty of delicious dukes!

This is a modern day Hatfield and McCoy story but with a twist. The Westons and Harpers have been feuding for what seems like forever. Olive Harper's family owns the famous Harper stud farm. It has been her legacy for forever until now. For some reason, Olive's father gave it to their enemies, the Westons, who own the Weston stud farm, as part of a truce. The only way for poor Olive to get it back is to marry the son of her nemisis, Elijah Weston. The same man who publicly kissed her and made a spectacle of her. Sure, Elijah Weston weston kissed Olive Harper and ruined her reputation. But he has been in love with her ever since. Can he seize the opportunity to make Olive his bride and not only heal the rift between their families but win the heart of his love? I love the Duke stories. They are sweet and have a lot of heart.

For me, this is one of the best among the 12 Dukes. I much enjoyed reading this pretty quick read. It seems Olivia and Elijah have no interests in common, which hinder Elijah's attempts to woo her. During their courting time together they learn some ugly truths about their families' past. Some sober, some amusing scenes. Nicely executed. I read an advance copy; the thoughts expressed are my own.

I enjoy this series but I thought that there was just something extra special about this entry. Olive and Eli's story was like a Cupid's arrow right to my heart! I fell so hard for these two characters. I felt that even though these characters were often at cross purposes, you could very easily feel for them both. I thought Olive was fierce, yet vulnerable and Eli was brilliant and quite sweet. I adored them together! The story hold your attention with a skillfully crafted blend of emotions, humor, twists, drama and heart. This book is now officially my favorite of this whole series. Of my own accord I am posting a sincere review.
