Andrea Romance
Everleigh is furious when she learns that Adrian's company is taking over her father's California winery. What she doesn't know is that her father approached Adrian to save the winery from bankruptcy. She travels to Spain with Adrian to work with his marketing team on the merger. The two try to fight their attraction, but it's no use. Still, Adrian is determined to protect his heart—he has no room for love in his life. Can Everleigh change his mind? I loved these characters and the romantic Spanish setting. The author's writing style is fresh and it drew me into the story. Both the main characters have wounds from the past, but Everleigh has done a better job at coming to terms with loss. Adrian's continued struggle is the main conflict in the novel. I wish the author had done a little more to strengthen the conflict using the boss/employee relationship and the geographic differences between them. Still, it's an enjoyable story—sultry and sexy and immersive—and I look forward to more from this author. Thanks, NetGalley, for the ARC I received. This is my honest and voluntary review.
