About this ebook

Shiloh was living her best life.  She had a career she loved, she lived in a penthouse apartment in one of Sydney’s most exclusive areas, and she was practically engaged to one of the country’s most eligible bachelors.  She was living the fairy tale she’d always imagined.

Until it all started to unravel.

Brandt wasn’t the man she thought he was and their life wasn’t the fairy tale he’d led her to believe.  How could her life go from idyllic to life threatening in almost an instant?

Running was her only option.  That and praying that Brandt would never find her because if he ever got his hands on her again…her life would be forfeit.

The story was heartbreaking to read, but I absolutely did not want to stop. This kind of mental manipulation definitely needs to be exposed in the publics' eyes. It's composed beautifully. But there is an unresolved end to a mythology used in the story that, I feel, could have been given a satisfactory ending or excluded altogether. Still, I urge you to read it if you have the stomach to do so. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This book is brilliantly well written. It’s probably too well written for my peace of mind. I couldn’t read this story fast enough. Partly because I was desperate to find out how everything could possibly turn out in the end, but also because the subject matter is dark and uncomfortable to read. As an observer it’s so easy to see that Shiloh’s being gaslighted. But I know full well how hard it is to identify from the inside. This is a powerful story about being stronger than fear, and a reminder that sometimes nothing is quite what it seems. I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book through Booksprout.
