Getting Real

Oh, Connor. I totally dug this divorced doctor, single dad, older brother, that is Connor Daniels. He's got his S together, oh, not in the dating thing, he's got a 35 and up rule, as he's forty. I love the age-appropriate bent though its mitigated by his crush on Violet Robinson, the ten year younger nurse he works with. Violet is awesome at her job but clumsy in real life and had a mad crush on Connor. Sweet, steamy, fun, real and engaging. Recommend.

Emma Chase does it again. She is always giving her readers exactly what they are looking for, a great read. Getting Real is an amazing and fantastic read. The moments when Connor is with his sons will have you bent over in laughter. With smelly feet that could knock you out to Spencer asking Vi to be their babysitter because his dad does not spare any expense for them. The innocence of said 10-year-old when he asked if Connor and Vi were “F” buddies. F for fun. This story has it all. Family, joy, laughter, some tears, and steamy sleepovers, just to name a few. Vi and Connor are perfect for one another. They understand each other and their jobs. Vi came from a home where her parents were divorced, and she had to help with raising her brother and sisters. This helped her relationship with Connor’s sons. She knew what they were going through and tried to help them cope. Getting Real is a very enjoyable, delightful read. I could not put it down. A true 5 star read.

Gah!!! I love this series so much!! I needed Connor to find a really awesome partner and he got that in Violet. Zachary Webber and Andi Arndt killed it as usual! They had me laughing and crying so much! After listening to the audio on release day, I loved getting to visit this couple again with the ebook release day. Even though I knew every single twist and turn, I was still laughing and crying just as much as when I listened to the audio three months ago.
