Touch her and die vibes. For the most part this book keeps your attention and keeps you invested. It is a little on the darker side of romance because he is the bad guy with a conscious. There are TWs, so be mindful. Child sexual assault, murder, torture, OW drama (no cheating), and aggressive sex scenes. Lots of twists in turns as you work through the starting relationship of Cristian and Roxie. It starts off rocky seeing as she is engaged to a man that Cristian is going to eliminate to get to her. She knows it and still pushes his buttons to make him snap. Then, you keep following the ups and downs of a relationship with a mafia boss, his jealousy, possessive nature, and OW drama. What makes Roxie snap and accept her place? Read to find out. Biggest annoyance with this story is how these main characters were very immature. On several occasions the OW drama made both main characters unlikeable. Very highschool drama vibes. Loved the Chiara and Alessandro character cross over.

Cristian and Roxie are now officially my new favorite Mafia couple. When mistakes are made and life is a mess. They learned to fight together to fix them. I can't wait for the next book and also hope one day Marco gets his own. Here are a few lines that I loved that don't have spoilers. K!LL!NG ALWAYS CAME EASILY to me. Loving did not. smirk so sinful that I was sure I had only seen it in my nightmares, I was staring up into the eyes of the devil. IF IT WASN’T for her blatant disrespect and defiance, the amount of feistiness in Roxie would almost be cute. “If you could actually aim, maybe, one day, you will,” I hid everything behind a wall, made sure that he didn’t know how I truly felt about him. making all those cute de@thly demands of hers. I highly recommend this book and we'll all of Emilia Rose's books.
