A talented artist and an artless scoundrel. What a great pairing! This, the second book, but noted as the first of the series, is a beautifully written story of falling in love against all odds. The reader feels empathy for Lucian and all the pain he has gone through and for the innocent, unaware Victoria who must pay the consequences. The twists and turns of this story keeps the reader reading.

Excellent writing. Couldn't put it down. Read for 3 hours straight trying unravel the mystery of the feud. I just loved it.

Ah the ton season! This book had it ALL! Scandle, steam, mystery and lies, it's like reading a great movie and I LOVED it.
About the author
Reading romance novels came easily to Elisa Braden. Writing them? That took a little longer. After graduating with degrees in creative writing and history, Elisa spent entirely too many years in “real” jobs writing T-shirt copy ... and other people’s resumes ... and articles about giftware displays.
