About the author
Moses I. Finley (Nueva York, 1912-Cambridge, 1986), historiador y especialista en la antigua Grecia, fue perseguido por la política de posguerra en Estados Unidos y emigró a Inglaterra en los años cincuenta, donde se desempeñó como profesor en Cambridge. De su autoría, el fce ha publicado también La economía de la Antigüedad.
