About this ebook

Sherrilyn Kenyon returns with the next addictive novel in her globally bestselling Dark-Hunter series . . .

There is nothing in the universe the cursed dragon, Falcyn, hates more than humanity . . . and in particular, Greek humans. In a war he wanted no part of, they systematically destroyed everything he'd ever cared for. Now he lies in seclusion, away from the world and waits for the day when evolution will finally rid him of the human vermin.

Medea was born the granddaughter of the Greek god Apollo, and among the first of his people that he cursed to die. But she will not let anyone rule her life. Not even her notorious grandfather. And when Apollo sends a new plague to destroy what remains of her people, she refuses to standby and watch him take everything she loves from her again.

This time, she knows of a secret weapon that can stop the ancient god and his army of demons. Once and for all. However, said device is in the hands of a dragon who wants nothing to do with politics, the gods, humanity, demons or Greek Apollites. And especially not her. He is the immovable object.

When Apollo makes a strategic move that backfires, he forces Falcyn back into play. Now Medea either has the weapon she needs to save her people, or she's unleashed total Armageddon. If she can't find some way to control the dragon before it's too late, Falcyn will be an even worse plague on the world than the one Apollo has set loose. But how can anyone control a demonic dragon whose sole birthright is total destruction?

I realize Sherrilyn has an end plan ( maybe?) for this whole world but I feel like her last few books of this series have been a bit sloppy in current story line to compensate for her end game. When I think back to Zarek's story, I remember how moved I was by his younger years and how happy I was when he finally put his faith in someone. That book made me want to read the rest of the series. I think I had to buy 5 or 6 to be up to date and I've waited anxiously for each release date since. To date, I've read that particular book nine times. I usually try to prepare myself for a new book by reading the old ones, I have read Acheron 4 or 5 times and I still cry and Styxx makes me sob with a broken heart more than once every time but the last few. It seems almost like she is purposely trying to confuse people. Almost every new person these days is a God and instead of actually describing a fight scene he or she just throws their god power around and fight over. Or even worse, the old gang get back together again, with people there is no way in hell they would have trusted, including enemies and it sorts itself out. At the beginning of the series there was no one that could compete with Acheron's power. He was the ultimate weapon. That went on for a long time since he IS the ultimate fate and the doom bringer. Then Savitar came along and the Malachai and Beth and now everyone has a bit of something that can destroy the world. I wanted to know Savitars story and Jadens but at the rate it's going and adding as many new stories and characters as she is I just don't think it is going to happen. I did like this story but for a dragon that has been betrayed as much as he had, he gave in awfully easy. If I had read only this book, would I have read the rest of the series as obsessively as I did with Zarek? No. Without the prior knowledge of who some of the people are, I would have been too confused
