DESCRIPTION
The author throws light upon exclusively on the life and work of Dr. Ramanujan - one of the great mathematicians of his time.
The country declared 22nd. December as “National Mathematics Day” to commemorate his substantial contribution in the areas of mathematics.
The date of the year i.e. 2016, December 22nd. is his 129th. Birth Anniversary and is celebrated enthusiastically all over the country by organising workshop, seminars and conferences etc. particularly on the topics of mathematics contributed by him.
He was born on 22nd. December 1887 and expired on 26th. April 1920.
Though he lived for merely 33 years but what he contributed to the world in the areas of mathematics is outstanding.
I can quote in the context of the text of his short period of survival as follows:
“A great man lives in deed, not in years.”
It’s a rare article of the author so elaborately written in a very simple language and the flair and flow of the language and literature is like that of the “Fairy Tales.

Retired from service on April 30, 2006 & joined Bar on Feb. 3, 2007.
