About the author

Bertha Sophia Felicita Freifrau von Suttner, geb. Gräfin Kinsky von Wchinitz und Tettau, war eine österreichische Friedensforscherin und Schriftstellerin und wurde 1905 als erste Frau mit dem Friedensnobelpreis ausgezeichnet. Sie wurde am 9. Juni 1843 in Prag geboren und verstarb am 21. Juni 1914 in Wien.
