About this eBook

Not everything is what it seems.

In a desperate bid to free her twin sister from an evil caster, Kellen flees her sheltered life under the cover of darkness. Lost and on the run from the cursed beasts lurking in the Dark Forest, she stumbles upon a clearing where seven handsome men reside.

Despite their wariness towards her, Kellen finds herself drawn to them. Their laughter, camaraderie, and the way they gaze at her awaken a longing she’s never known. Her intuition whispers that she must stay, yet her loyalty to her sister compels her to find a way to leave.

To plot her escape and save her sister, Kellen will need to navigate the seductive charm of the seven men and her yearning for acceptance in this darker version of Snow White that’s as spell-binding as the seven hot and endearing men who hold her captive.

This book was much anticipated for me and it did not disappoint! I had to go back and re read Eloise's story before continuing on with Kellen's and I'm so glad I did. The bond those sisters have is unbreaking and its important to know their relationship before reading Despair. Kellen has already been through much before deciding to leave to help save her sister and hopefully her father. To her, Eloise is the only thing worth living for. That is until she meets her 7 handsome protectors! Now she has more to lose while she is still fighting with her emotions and understanding her own power within. Those men test her emotions and patience on every level but our Snow is thawing! This was the perfect 1st book in Kellen's story and I can NOT wait until book 2!. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

A retelling of the classic Snow White story, but with some twists and turns! The writing is superb, a gentle hand guiding you through the story. The characters are all well developed and full of their own individual strengths and weaknesses. The addition of magic to the main characters, not just the evil queen, is intriguing and creates creates a new, exciting world. I very much enjoyed this journey, and I'm eagerly awaiting the next book! I received a free ARC copy of this book via Booksprout.

Well this is taking an intriguing turn! I always love reading an MJ Haag book, and so far this trilogy is clearly not going to disappoint. I’ve been waiting for this trilogy for what seems like forever, and I loved the previous trilogies set in the Beastly Tales world. As always MJ Haag has weaved a rich tale, with a unique spin on the Snow White story. The characters are diverse and the relationships dynamic, with some truly evil villains and some truly heroic main characters.
