This author does a superb job hooking her audience and keeping them enraptured in a way I haven't experienced since Terry Brooks, David Estes, and Melanie Rawn's work. She is a fantastic story writer and I look forward to more.

I was looking for a real good page turner and I found it. I'm so glad that
I decided to start my library with the shift chronicles. Best books I've
read for a long time. Everything about it hypnotizing. If there were 100
books to continue this story, I would certainly own them all. It's sad that
there aren't more...

Well this is my second time reading it. A very well written story, delving slowly into each character. The climax is very intricately written.
