Elsebeth Egholm, 1960 in Nyborg geboren, ist eine dänische Schriftstellerin und Journalistin, die zu den meistgelesenen Autoren Dänemarks gehört. Ihre sechs Kriminalromane um die Journalistin Dicte Svendsen, die auch als Fernsehserie "Dicte" verfilmt wurden, machten sie berühmt. Mit "Der Gartenpavillon" gelang ihr der große Durchbruch. Heute lebt sie in Aarhus und auf Gozo.
