About the author
Luiz Heinrich Mann war deutscher Schriftsteller aus der Familie Mann. Der ältere Bruder von Thomas Mann analysierte früh autoritären Strukturen des Deutschen Kaiserreichs im Zeitalter des Wilhelminismus und war Verfechter der Demokratie, stellte sich von Beginn an dem Ersten Weltkrieg und Nationalsozialismus entgegen. Manns Werke wurden in dieser Dunklen Zeit öffentlich verbrannten.
